Policy
Community guidelines
Draft policy for the OnlyFish demo. Replace or extend with counsel-approved terms before launch. Nothing here is legal advice.
Marine life and responsible content
- Do not post content that depicts harassment of wildlife, damaging habitats, or illegal take of protected species. Follow local regulations and honor no-take zones.
- Label staged or aquarium content clearly when it could be mistaken for wild capture. Misleading location or species claims erode trust.
- Avoid sharing exact coordinates of fragile or heavily dived sites when that could lead to harm; use regional labels when appropriate.
Copyright and attribution
- Only upload media you have the right to publish. Respect photographers, illustrators, and rights holders; obtain a license before reposting third-party work.
- When you reference taxonomy or facts, prefer linking to authoritative sources (e.g. WoRMS, FishBase) rather than copying long excerpts.
Harassment and hateful conduct
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, and coordinated pile-ons are not allowed. Critique ideas, not people; contact should stay respectful.
- Impersonation of creators, staff, or conservation organizations is prohibited.
Minors and safety
- OnlyFish is not directed at children under 13. Do not solicit personal information from minors or post content that sexualizes minors.
- If you see content that suggests risk to a minor, report it immediately and, where appropriate, contact local authorities.
Spam, scams, and deception
- No phishing, counterfeit paid offerings, or pump-and-dump schemes. Tips (“bait”) and subscriptions must match what you actually deliver.
- Automated spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, and engagement manipulation are prohibited.
Enforcement
- Reports are reviewed by operators (demo: in-app report form and dashboard queue). Serious violations may result in removal, account restrictions, or referral to law enforcement.
- Guidelines evolve; continuing to use the service after updates means you accept reasonable changes.
